The Whispering Creek golf season revolves around the league play in the evenings and five major member events held 
throughout the season. We have weekly member events, couples golf, and corporate outings. Here are the “major” events at Whispering Creek.
Jividen Cup: May 16th & 17th
This match play event is a Siouxland Classic in memory of Leo F Jividen father of Mike Jividen. The field is open to all members and guests but it is limited to 52 players (3 brackets). For qualifying information please contact the golf shop today at 712.276.3678 or mawhisper@cableone.net.

Day at the Races: June 19th & 20th
Every year in June we hold the annual Whispering Creek Day at the Races couples event. It is always a great time and a lot of fun. The race social party is on the Friday before the event where you can place your para-mutuel bets on every race. “Races” start the following Saturday using an alternate shot format. Dinner will take place after the “races” on Saturday.
Club Championships: August 22nd & 23rd
We hold the men's and women's championships on the same weekend. Flights are set by handicap. All members may compete for the championship. The tournament is 36 holes of medal play over a weekend. This is one of our most popular events. Our list of champions is below.

Member Guest
: July 24th & 25th
The two-man member guest championship is the biggest tournament on the golf schedule. Our members invite a guest to play a two day tournament with special games and social fun for all players and wives. The event is flighted by handicap and the teams play 2 days of various formats to reach the final shoot-out to determine the champions. There is food, fun, and a great time for all the players.
