In 2001 a dream was realized for serious golfers in the Sioux City area. Whispering Creek Golf Club was opened with a natural prairie look including vast areas of natural brome grass, rolling bent grass greens, challenging sod-faced bunkers and natural areas unlike other golf courses in the area. The club has continued to grow into a member oriented club with golf, social, and practice facilities for player of all abilities.
Whispering Creek is growing into a full service club with a fully stocked golf shop. Pooch's Pub, a banquet room with food and beverage services, and a practice facility that is second to none. Our clubhouse and golf staff have made a commitment to make our golf course and operation the best around. Whispering Creek has numerous area tournaments, member events, corporate outings, PGA Section events, and Amateur events such as the 2006 Iowa State Amateur Championship and 2009 Iowa State 4 Ball. Whispering Creek was awarded 2007 Iowa Golf Course of the Year. The course has five sets of tees that can vary the yardage from 5116 to 7113 yards. Players of all abilities can select a set of tees to accommodate their skill level.
